APTIS BY BRITISH COUNCIL

Aptis is an English test for adults (16+) which has been developed by British Council experts. It assesses  your abilitiy in all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. You will receive your test results by email between 48 and 72 hours after taking the test and your test report will be available  within 7 to 10 days.

Aptis variants: aptis advanced, aptis for teachers, aptis for organisations and aptis for teens

The test consists of a core component which is combined with listening, speaking, reading and writing. 

1. Grammar and vocabulary lasts 25 minutes, scores 0-50 and has 60 tasks.
2. Speaking lasts 12 minutes, scores 0-50 and has 4 tasks.
3. Writing lasts 50 minutes, scores 0-50 and has 3 tasks.
4. Listening lasts 50 minutes, scores 0-50 and has 28 (+/- 4) tasks.
5. Reading lasts 30 minutes, scores 0-50 and has 4 tasts.

You will receive a score on a numerical scale (0 to 50) for the grammar and vocabulary section, and a score on a numerical scale (0 – 50) and CEFR level (A1 – C) for each skill  and a CEFR (MERC) global mark.
